Momentum at Knightscope!

The success of any company relies on being able to build momentum, drive traction and keep an aggressive cadence moving in all areas of a team’s activities.  Daily action must be taken to ensure that those activities are making the biggest difference and moving the needle the most.  Some items seen, many unseen. Teammates throughout the organization take calculated risks as “normal” in order to anticipate the unexpected and move beyond merely achieving progress.

Momentum is a curious thing.  It is contagious.  Once a person, group, or organization has it, it comes alive and moves like wildfire.  This is especially evident in sports - when a team gets some momentum, all of a sudden their sideline is on their feet, the energy is up, and fans cheer louder from the stands.

The same is true in business.  As the leader of Knightscope, is it my responsibility to help generate that momentum and then drive it throughout the organization and to our investors, our supporters and our clients so that we can all work together to be much more successful and share this exciting story.

Momentum is not only the driving force behind corporate growth, but also the source of motivation during the difficult times.  It’s needed to maintain focus and apply energy to deliver quality service at a consistent level and it develops into a productive force that is unwilling to stop.  It creates motivation, which leads to new inspiration and ideas making things that previously seemed impossible suddenly more than realistic.

So, what is it that is exciting me most about Knightscope?  It’s the momentum we’ve built as a team, and here is my current ‘Top 5’ list of favorite momentum builders!


We received our Authority to Operate from the U.S. Federal Government, adding billions to our TAM (Total Addressable Market).  Read the press release here.

Cost Reductions

Our hard work on reducing both variable and fixed costs is starting to payoff, but we’re not done yet and strive to improve even more.
